First – German roots
Swinging Vintage Vegas with Aleksandra Szwed’s guest appearance entertained the audience with some melodic tunes. Since the band came from Germany, let us start with the award for Opel Post – magazine for the employees of Opel production plant in Gliwice, the finalist in the category Digital Publication Online.
Second – Content
This year’s gala was hosted by Jacek Wasilewski and Urszula Radzińska, president of Content Marketing Polska association, who told the audience about the great power of content in pursuing business goals. So at this point, we would like to show of with gold for “Henkel Life” magazine (in the employees magazine, up to 1,000 copies) for its content, graphic design and coherence of all its elements.
Third – The setting
The award gala for the second time was held in the Kamienica Theater. Its climatic interiors and the perfect setting added splendor to the event. The fact the setting is important not only during the gala is proved by the golden award for the magazine “One” Deutsche Bank Polska (digital magazine category) for its attractive design.
Fourth – High level
This year, 150 projects were signed in for the competition, according to the jury – all representing a very high level. The level of content marketing publications is crucial, which can be seen in the example of “Biromaniak”. Grupa Żywiec employees magazine won silver in the employee magazine category, from 1,001 to 5,000 copies for maintaining the high level of the magazine.
Fifth – Expansion
The competition has been organized for the 8th time (previous editions were called Szpalty Roku, since 2015 the name has been expanded to: Polish Content Marketing Awards Szpalty Roku). Similarly, the banks BGŻ and BNP Paribas have merged and expanded their name into Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas Polska – our publications related with that merger were awarded in the Content Marketing Strategy category – Content Marketing Campaign for employees for a successful use of content marketing in employee communications.
Sixth – The taste
“The competition is expanding, and the level of the projects is higher and higher each year. The jury has a very emotional discussion, as everyone have their own favorites,” says dr. hab. Jacek Wasilewski, media expert of Warsaw University, head of the jury. „Companies are racing to produce the most tasty content,” he adds. One piece of such tasty content were our chocolates in the form of an Advent calendar “Charles Audens. Opowieść Wigilijna” which was titled in the One-time Publication category for its „unique attitude to a publication about a company.”
Seventh – The employees
“The publications for employees show they are more and more important. Companies choose to show real people at work gradually more frequently,” says Jacek Piotrowski, photographer, member of the jury. The security activities taken up by Goodyear described in the employee magazine “Oponowości” were awarded in the category Content Marketing Strategy – Content Marketing Activities for Employees for skillfully combining various communication channels.
Eighth – The customer
“Content marketing is a very important customer-winning tool, companies have noticed the potential and start using it,” believes Urszula Radzińska. We have managed to use the potential of content marketing when developing the infographic “BNP Paribas – Cash credit” – our e-book was awarded for its comprehensible message.
Ninth – Trust
Content Marketing Awards Szpalty Roku is the largest competition in Poland assessing content marketing-related communication practices. The goal of the competition is to promote the best practices. The fact it is worth keeping to the tried and true practices has been proven by a second in the row award for the “Connect” publication for Raiffeisen Polbank, a finalist in the digital magazine category.
Tenth – The Challenge
Another competition in a year time – we’re expecting even more, even better entries. We are starting to prepare for the event today – who knows, maybe blog.aude.pl will get an award for this and the following articles?
